As one of the forerunners of the psychometric testing industry, PPEARL was pleased to organise the Exclusive Launch of Saville Consulting Wave on the 27th and 28th of July 2008 at Hilton Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Suntec City Convention Centre respectively. The event was organised to introduce a revolutionary psychometric tool, the Saville Consulting Wave to HR professionals and practitioners developed by Saville Consulting, international assessment business.
 
The launch was attended by local HR practitioners. Keynote speaker for the launch was Scott Rufhus, Managing Director of Saville Consulting Asia Pacific and Director of Saville Consulting Group Ltd who conducted the ‘Transforming Assessment’ sessions. Following that, Kwan Chee Wei, Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) of IMC Corp Group was invited to speak on the topic of “ Personality Questionnaire: Recruitment and Talent Management”. Another speaker of the event, Lim Chee Hoo, General Manager of Panasonic Regional Training Centre, Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte Ltd was invited to conduct the next session “Wave™: Meeting a HRD Strategic Intent”.

PPEARL was recently invited to participate in one of the most highly anticipated Human Resource conference of 2008 organised by i-HR Consulting Sdn Bhd as part of its annual knowledge management program. Themed “Talent Management: Burning Issues & Strategic Initiatives’, the conference was held at Parkroyal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on the 14th and 15th of July 2008 attended by HR practitioners from all around the country.
 
The main agenda for the conference were enlightening sessions conducted by senior HR practitioners such as Mr Caleb Baker (Australia) – Head of Outsourcing Asia Talent2 Pte Ltd, Mr Mohamed Parrish Ersalle - Head of HR Allianz General Insurance Malaysia, Mr Roshan Thiran - Global Director Talent Management Johnson & Johnson followed by networking sessions as well as Q & A sessions with the panel of speakers.
 
PPEARL’s Senior Consultant, Ms. Evelyn Wong was invited as one of the speakers to discuss about the current shortage of talents faced globally and domestically. Her presentation topic, “Baby Boomers to the ‘Net Generation’ - Workforce Complexities of the 21st Century”, was an extensive analysis of current issues of labour force faced locally and globally. She also presented on the current methods and trends employed by various organisations in different industries to recruit and retain their employees.
