The Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion approached PPEARL with a clear mission: to raise meaningful awareness around anti-harassment across their global workforce. This was not just a compliance requirement. It was part of a broader commitment to build a safer, more respectful workplace for everyone, no matter where they worked or what role they held. The team knew that traditional training modules — dry, text-heavy, and easily forgettable — would not be enough. They needed something more human, more engaging, and far more effective. It had to speak to real people, in real roles, across different countries, cultures, and comfort levels.
The client wanted the experience to feel like a conversation, not a lecture. They requested animation and storytelling to keep the tone approachable, and asked for interactive elements — like knowledge checks and short reflection prompts — to help learners stay engaged and absorb key ideas. They also wanted the course to start with a personal message from the CHRO or CLO, to show leadership accountability and reinforce the importance of the topic from the very beginning.
Above all, the team needed a solution that felt thoughtful, clear, and compassionate. This was about helping people understand how their words and actions affect others, and creating a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected, and heard.
I am very happy with the e-learning being produced by PPEARL and I appreciate the hard work done and the seamless communication throughout.
PPEARL created a 15–20 minute interactive eLearning course using Articulate Storyline 360, designed to be mobile-responsive, engaging, and adaptable to multiple learning platforms.
Key features included:
• Animated teach screens and scenarios (Level 2.5 interaction)
• CHRO/CLO intro videos for tone-setting and senior buy-in
• “What’s In It For Me” animation to boost personal relevance
• Formative questions and scored final assessment
• Professional voiceover, with multilingual subtitle integration
• Final output delivered in SCORM 1.2 + web formats, deployable via LMS and SharePoint
The module was translated and rolled out in 9 languages: English, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Polish, and Danish.
The result was a thoughtfully designed, high-quality e-learning course that felt both engaging and respectful. Learners could move through it at their own pace, with visuals, voiceovers, and scenarios that felt relevant to their everyday work. The structure made it easy to follow, and the tone struck the right balance: serious enough to reflect the importance of the topic, but clear and calm enough to help people feel safe while learning.
By using real-life situations and practical examples, the course made it easier for employees to recognise what harassment can look like, not just in extreme forms, but in the subtle ways it can show up at work. It gave people the language and confidence to speak up, whether they were addressing behaviour themselves or supporting someone else. For many learners, it was the first time they had seen this topic handled in such an open and accessible way.
After development, the course was successfully launched through the client’s global learning platform. It quickly reached teams across different regions, and early feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Employees appreciated how clear and relatable the content was, and HR leaders noted a noticeable shift in how teams were talking about workplace respect and accountability. The course has since become a key part of the client’s wider learning and culture strategy, not just as a training module, but as a conversation starter.
