The Challenge:

As the company looked ahead to the new year, it became clear that technical skills alone wouldn’t be enough to meet the demands of a fast-changing, high-pressure environment. What they needed was a cultural shift and something that would encourage employees to embrace change, bounce back from setbacks, and stay open to learning, even when things felt uncertain. The leadership team saw an opportunity to embed growth mindset principles more intentionally across their regional teams, particularly among their younger employees. Many of these were Gen Z and Millennial professionals navigating high expectations, shifting priorities, and complex stakeholder demands in a fast-moving tech landscape.

The goal wasn’t to launch a heavy, top-down training—to spark reflection, build self-awareness, and give people small, meaningful tools they could actually use. The sessions had to feel relevant, culturally inclusive, and easy to access no matter where someone was based. That meant creating bite-sized content that still packed a punch, something that could land just as well in Thailand or Vietnam as it would in Singapore or Malaysia. The real challenge lay in making the content personal enough to resonate deeply, while keeping it light and engaging enough that people would stay curious, not overwhelmed. And most importantly, the lessons had to feel useful—not just during the session, but in the moments people returned to work and faced real-world challenges.

This workshop provided practical ways to shift my mindset. The interactive activities and discussions helped me see things differently. I now have clear strategies for approaching challenges with a growth mindset

The Solutions:

PPEARL designed and facilitated three virtual workshops tailored for participants in Vietnam, Thailand, and English-speaking regions. Each session focused on making mindset shifts relatable and actionable, blending real-world examples, group reflection, and energising facilitation. 

Key topics included: 

Differentiating fixed and growth mindsets 

Micro-practices for overcoming challenges 

Applying growth mindset to teamwork and self-leadership 

Creating personal action plans for sustainable mindset shifts 

The sessions were delivered with a dynamic mix of storytelling, humour, breakout activities, and culturally relevant insights. 

The Impact:

By the end of the sessions, participants walked away with more than just a few new ideas, they left with a clearer, more practical understanding of what a growth mindset actually looks like in everyday work. Many shared that they had always heard the term before, but this was the first time it truly clicked. They saw how their beliefs about effort, failure, and learning had been shaping their behaviour all along. And how simple shifts in thinking could make a real difference in how they approached challenges, feedback, and change.

Participants also felt more motivated to try these behaviours in action. Whether it was reframing a mistake as a learning moment, embracing stretch tasks instead of avoiding them, or offering more constructive feedback to their teammates, the content gave them language and tools they could use immediately. Across all regions, self-rated knowledge scores rose significantly, and the feedback spoke volumes. Many highlighted how refreshing the format was—short, interactive, and free from heavy jargon. Others called out the facilitator’s energy, saying it made the session feel more like a meaningful conversation than a lecture. The tone, the structure, and the relatability of the examples helped the messages stick long after the session ended.
