The Challenge:

As Zenika expanded its regional presence, the leadership team recognised a gap in leadership readiness among new and emerging managers. While technically strong, many lacked the confidence and tools to manage people effectively, lead conversations with clarity, or make decisions under pressure. There was also a clear intention to embed a consistent leadership style across the company—anchored in shared values and behaviours. 

The challenge was to design a leadership development journey that was flexible enough to fit into busy schedules, yet practical and immersive enough to spark real behavioural change. Peer learning, relevance to day-to-day challenges, and a safe space for reflection were key priorities.

The Solutions:

PPEARL co-designed and facilitated a 6-module Leadership Acceleration Program, customised to Zenika’s needs. The journey was highly experiential, led by seasoned facilitators who brought energy, empathy, and real-world experience to each session. The modules included: 

• CliftonStrengths & program launch
Participants uncovered their unique strengths and explored how individual differences shape collaboration. The session created shared language and set the tone for a psychologically safe learning space. 

• Self-leadership and personal mastery
Participants reflected on their leadership identity, defined their energy boosters and drainers, and crafted personal vision statements.

• Communication and storytelling
Using the Pyramid Principle and storytelling frameworks, participants learned to communicate with clarity, purpose, and presence.

“The storyboard and sharing activity was powerful.” 

• Critical thinking and decision making
This module introduced MECE trees, SMART problem statements, and premortem planning to sharpen decision-making under complexity.
“The difference between ‘why’ and ‘what for’ when framing problems was a lightbulb moment.” 

• Leading teams to high performance
Participants learned to coach using the GROW model, motivate using Situational Leadership, and hold accountability with High Challenge-High Support.
“Loved applying the GROW model—it gave me structure beyond advice.” 

• Managing change across the organisation
Through stakeholder mapping and resistance diagnosis, leaders learned how to guide others through uncertainty and build alignment.
“The stakeholder map helped me reframe tough conversations.” 

Each module included peer feedback, real-world scenarios, and reflection tools to turn insight into practice. 

 

The Impact:

By the end of the journey, participants demonstrated stronger confidence, clearer communication, and greater influence across their teams. Leaders were more intentional in coaching conversations, better able to structure decisions, and more effective in aligning team members behind shared goals. 

One of the most noticeable outcomes was the shift in language and collaboration following the CliftonStrengths module—participants began recognising and activating each other’s strengths more consciously.
