The client was looking to fast-track the development of its top emerging leaders across the Asia region who are individuals identified as high-potential, with strong technical backgrounds and deep operational expertise. However, while these leaders excelled in their respective domains, they often lacked the structured support, strategic mindset, and interpersonal tools needed to transition into broader leadership roles.
Specifically, the organisation observed gaps in their ability to manage complex change, influence stakeholders across cultures, and build cohesive, high-performing teams. Many had never received formal coaching, nor had the opportunity to reflect on or shape their leadership identity.
The challenge wasn’t simply about transferring knowledge or ticking a development box. Rather it was about unlocking leadership presence, enhancing communication fluency, and helping these individuals step into a more strategic and confident version of themselves. The programme had to build these capabilities while respecting the busy schedules of participants and the realities of a hybrid working environment.
At its core, the intervention needed to be immersive, interactive, and deeply relevant to business needs. It had to bridge the gap between potential and performance, by combining practical tools, reflective exercises, and peer learning that would resonate across borders and leave a lasting impact.
The facilitator was clear, consistent, and trusted by the participants. They kept returning to the same PPEARL facilitator throughout the journey—which speaks volumes. The 2021 TCDP ended up being one of our most successful programmes!
PPEARL designed and delivered an 8-month hybrid leadership journey tailored for high-potential talents. The program was structured into 5 learning modules:
Across the journey, participants explored how they are perceived, identified areas for personal growth, and learned to coach and connect with others in ways that would shape their leadership brand and influence culture.
They applied frameworks for leading organisational change, and learned how to structure and deliver high-impact communication through a customer-focused lens. The program concluded with a group project showcase, where participants demonstrated how they had applied their learning across the modules.
Participants left the program with greater clarity around their leadership style, stronger interpersonal skills, and confidence to lead change across functions and geographies. The consistent use of one expert facilitator created trust, continuity, and strong engagement throughout the experience.
Following positive feedback from both HR and business leaders, PPEARL was invited to deliver a second cohort the following year for another group of 25 high-potentials.
